Plan for redevelopment of Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum announced

The city of Portland today announced its plans for the $31.5 million redevelopment of the Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum. During a press conference at the coliseum this morning, Mayor Sam Adams and Portland Development Commission Chair Scott Andrews presented the details for a public/private partnership to redevelop the coliseum and several parcels of land surrounding it.

Renovation plans for Veterans Memorial Coliseum have been unveiled. Exterior renovations include restoring glu-lam beams on the building's entrance canopy and replacing the main roof with an insulated membrane system. But plans for interior renovations are being scrutinized.
