North runway complete at PDX
The Port of Portland and the Vancouver-based Nutter Corporation have finished the second phase of a three-phase, three-year runway improvements project at Portland International Airport.
Portland airport runway expansion begins
The Port of Portland is starting work on the second phase of its north runway expansion project Monday. The phase will extend the runway to 9,825 feet, from the current 8,000 feet.
Fixing a hole
A crew from Gonzales Boring and Tunneling drills a 36-inch-diameter hole for a steel casing to hold a 24-inch sewer pipe under Interstate 405 in Northwest Portland.
