In-water work for Portland-Milwaukie light-rail bridge to begin Friday

This summer, construction crews on the Portland-Milwaukie light-rail bridge project need to build four in-water structures. Meanwhile, crews working to clean up the Zidell site need to remove and 鈥渃ap鈥 contaminants along 3,000 feet of shoreline. Both teams have four months to do this work 鈥 and they鈥檒l be working in basically the same place.

TriMet OK’d for Portland-Milwaukie light-rail bridge construction

Just in time, transit agency TriMet today received the last permit it will need to begin construction on the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Bridge, just days before in-water work is scheduled to start on the $1.49 billion project July 1.
