ZeaChem lands $232M loan guarantee for Oregon biorefinery
Leading biofuel company ZeaChem Inc. today announced a conditional commitment for a $232.5 million loan guarantee from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to support the construction of a major facility in Oregon.

ZeaChem joins biomass firms with plans in Oregon
Oregon is becoming an attractive location for biomass plants thanks to a recent extension of tax credits. Oregon extended its biomass tax credit until 2018, which has made planning for commercial facilities easier. Construction is 70 percent complete on ZeaChem Inc.'s demonstration-scale plant in Boardman.
Boardman bio-refinery a test run for big business
A Kansas City, Mo., company this month began construction on a demonstration bio-refinery for ZeaChem, which plans to use woody biomass from a nearby tree farm to make 250,000 gallons of ethanol annually.
