A crew from Konell Construction & Demolition Corp. is hard at work on the demo of the Zell block in downtown Portland. After the demolition is completed by the end of May and more than 95 percent of the debris is recycled, construction on the property, bounded by Southwest Park & Ninth avenues and Morrison and Yamhill streets, will begin. Hoffman Construction Co. and TVA Architects have teamed up to built Park Avenue West, a 33-story, mixed-use building that will have retail space, offices and condominiums.
