In 1934 J. Merton Rosauer had just gotten out of school and borrowed $1,000 from his parents to purchase a little grocery store on the corner of Sprague and Lee Street in Spokane, Wash.. This was during the Depression, and it took four years before he could pay back the loan out of his profits.

Since that time, Mr. Rosauer has been responsible for launching one of the most successful and innovative corporations in the Pacific Northwest – Rosauers Supermarkets.

This project consists of the remodel of an existing Rosauers Supermarket located at 1867 12th St. in Hood River. Work includes structure, systems, finishes and related improvements required for a stock form area remodel of the 52,352-square-foot grocery store.

CSI divisions include:

• site construction,

• concrete,

• masonry,

• wood and plastics,

• thermal and noisture protection,

• doors and windows,

• finishes,

• specialties, and

• mechanical systems and electrical systems

The work of this contract shall be substantially complete by March 24, 2010. Because the store hours are 6:00 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, the contractor selected for the project must be prepared to work overtime, holiday, night and weekend hours as necessary to complete the work in the time allowed.

Contractors must be pre-qualified to bid on this project. The bid deadline is 2 p.m., June 25.
