The project consists of the construction of the new Vancouver Community Library, which is part of the Riverwest development located on East Evergreen Boulevard and C Street in Vancouver, Wash.

Howard S. Wright Constructors LP is soliciting proposals to perform the work and will serve as the general contractor/construction manager on behalf of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District. All bidders are required to be registered contractors in the state of Washington.

Phase 1 of construction consists of several bid packages, including earthwork, structural concrete, structural steel supply, structural steel erection, metal decking supply, and survey services. Earthwork and structural concrete bid packages are available only for prequalified subcontractors. Prequalified subcontractors must have gone through project-specific prequalification prior to May 22, 2009.

A non-mandatory pre-bid walk is scheduled for June 17 at 2 p.m. at the job site.
