The city of Bingen, Wash., part of a community of approximately 680 residents, is located in the Columbia River Gorge along state Route 14. The city of Bingen shares city boundaries with the city of White Salmon.
The project consists of a request for proposals from qualified design firms to complete the design elements of a 5,000- to 10,000-square-foot phased skate park to be located in Daubenspeck Park in Bingen, Wash. The qualified candidate will have previous experience in public skate park design, including preparation of construction documents and cost estimates.
The goals of the skate park project is to create a design that provides an experience for all levels of skaters, utilizing current design elements such as ramps, spines and rails, and bowls. The skate park project must be designed so that elements can be phased.
The city has identified an initial $40,000 for the skate park design and initial construction phase.
