A Northwest Portland apartment building is getting an extensive remodel. The Raymond Apartments, an eight-plex at 1934 N.W. 29th Ave., is getting an upgraded foundation, a new roof, new siding, refinished floors, plumbing and electrical upgrades, new energy-efficient windows and new cabinets. Owner Russell Hosner LLC is also the general contractor on the project, which was designed David Rodeback Architect LLC.

A former Oregon Department of Transportation maintenance facility in Newport has undergone a complete renovation and addition to become the home of the Newport Head Start program. The original 3,200-square-foot building and a 1,000-square-foot addition now feature classrooms, a kitchen, offices, a conference room, an outdoor play area and restrooms. Corvallis general contractor Greenberry Construction and Salem designer Arbuckle Costic Architects were the construction team on the project.

In early fall, EC Company will be in a new home – a 6,000-square-foot space in Southeast Portland. The building at 1709 S.E. Third Ave. will have exposed trusses, a reception area, offices, a conference room, and warehouse space in the rear of the building and in the full basement. General contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis is in charge of the renovation which was designed by Group Mackenzie.
