The project consists of the construction of the Pacific Pearl project, a 15-unit affordable multifamily rental housing property with office and community space consisting of two buildings. Building ‘B’ and Building ‘C’ are located on the southwest corner of Broadway Street and Jefferson Street North in South Bend, Wash.

Building ‘B’ is a three-unit apartment dwelling with management offices and community amenities shared by building ‘B’ and ‘C’. Community amenities located in Building ‘B’ include offices, a kitchenette, a janitorial room, laundry facilities and a meeting room. Building ‘C’ is a two-story, 12-unit apartment dwelling.

The buildings are wood-framed both on site and off with roof trusses, on augercast piles and structural slab. Site improvements include parking, sidewalks, curbs, storm drainage, finish grading and landscaping. Work also includes street improvements in the right-of-way along the perimeter of the property.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for today from 10 a.m. to noon at City Hall, 1102 W. First St. in South Bend. The general contractor will be present.
