A ranch-style house built in the 1950s is undergoing another renovation as it becomes office space to serve two dentists. Healthy Smiles will occupy the 2,200-square-foot building at 7306 N.E. Fremont in Portland. BnK Construction is the general contractor and Sisu Design is the architect of the project, which included a complete interior and an extensive exterior remodel, as well as new landscaping.

Interstate 405

Starting Friday night, all south lanes and ramps of Interstate 405 in Portland will be closed for repaving until early Monday morning as part of the monthlong I-405 preservation project from the Fremont Bridge to the Marquam Bridge. Three more weekend closures will occur before the Oregon Department of Transportation work ends on Sept. 13. Kerr Contractors is the general contractor for the $11.67 million job that also includes relighting the freeway corridors and tunnels and upgrading freeway signage.

Heart Roasters

A small storefront in east Portland will soon be filled with the aroma of roasting coffee after an extensive remodel. Heart Roasters coffee shop will move into the 1,400-square-foot space at 2205 E. Burnside St. Hercules Construction is the general contractor for the project.
