The Washington State Public Health Laboratories provide a wide range of diagnostic and analytical services for the assessment and surveillance of infectious, communicable, genetic and chronic diseases and environmental health concerns, for the citizens of Washington state.

The project consists of an addition to the Washington State Public Health Lab at 1610 N.E. 150th St. in Shoreline, Wash.

The work consists of a single-story, steel-framed addition to the existing laboratory building, and includes an equipment basement and a mechanical penthouse. The ground-floor area of the addition is approximately 5,700 square feet.

Also, portions of the existing building will be renovated. Site work includes utilities, paving, landscape, revision to existing irrigation system and concrete walks.

A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for Aug. 18 at 1:30 p.m. Attendees will meet in the lobby of the W.R. Geidt Public Health Lab at 1610 N.E. 150th St. in Shoreline, Wash.

The estimated cost of the project is $4.25 million to $4.75 million.
