This first phase of the project is for approximately 3,960 square feet of remodeled space in single-story Building ‘B.’ The second phase includes approximately 6,390 square feet of space in Building ‘A.’

Work includes demolition, earthwork, asphalt paving, concrete curbs, concrete, unit masonry, structural steel, rough and finish carpentry, casework, wood siding and paneling, insulation, roofing, doors, frames, hardware, coiling shutters, cubicle curtains, gypsum board, tile, floor coverings, paint, cubicle curtains, lockers and benches, movable storage system, toilet accessories, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and other work.

Three mandatory pre-bid meetings are scheduled. Each one will start at 7:30 a.m. at the site, 1233 Edgewater Street N.W. in Salem. The first meeting, required for general contractors, is Aug. 24; the second meeting, required for mechanical contractors, is Aug. 26; and the third meeting, required for electrical contractors, is Aug. 28.
