A $2 million gift from the Bremer Trust to Olympic College will help pay for a new child care center at the Bremerton, Wash., college.

The new two-story, wood-framed building will be approximately 14,000 square feet. It will house the college’s child daycare and early childhood education programs, including Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

Work includes civil, landscape, general trades, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, electrical, and other work.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Sept. 1 at the Michael D. Connolly Facility Services Building, in the second-floor conference room. The college’s address is 2600 Chester Ave. in Bremerton. The new child care center will be built at 1709 Chester Ave.

The estimated cost for the project is from $3,172,500 to $3,525,000.
