The project consists of new construction of a 1,833-square-foot, Type R-2 dormitory addition that includes eight dorm rooms, one dayroom, one utility room and a corridor (hallway). This addition will be used by staff and crew of the fire-and-rescue station, but it will not serve as permanent living quarters.

The work includes demolition, foundation work, rough framing and dormitory enclosure work, electrical, building insulation, drywall, HVAC, fire sprinklers, finish carpentry, painting, carpet, fencing, asphalt, and other work.

Timely completion of this project is critical, and bidders shall provide a proposed construction timeline schedule for final work completion with their submitted bids. Any submitted bid that does not include a timeline for final work completion will be rejected.

There is a mandatory walk-through meeting at the job site, 29999 Hallett St. in Eugene, today at 10 a.m. for all general contractors that wish to bid on the project.
