A crew from Pioneer Waterproofing Company Inc. is upgrading the exterior of the Morgan Building at 720 S.W. Washington St. The structure was built nearly 100 years ago and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The window perimeters on the seven-story structure are being sealed, the terra-cotta is being patched and the exterior is undergoing a general cleaning. The work is expected to be done in early fall.
A façade at New Life Missionary Church in Southeast Portland is being renovated. Four towers made of stone, brick, stucco and wood are being added to each end of the Russian church at 6220 S.E. 92nd Ave. Members of the church are performing the work from a design by DMS Architects. Archer Engineering is the structural engineer for the project expected to be completed in three months.
