The Snohomish School District is accepting bids for the project to replace Riverview Elementary School, which serves approximately 400 students in grades K-6.

Work includes all civil, landscape, architectural, structural, food service, mechanical, electrical and other work necessary to complete the construction of a new 70,000-square-foot elementary school. Work also includes demolition of existing site improvements, clearing, grubbing, grading, temporary storm-water drainage and control, along with off-site utility and sidewalk/road improvements.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. at the jobsite at 7322 64th St. S.E. in Snohomish, Wash.

Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2010 and finish in January 2011. The estimated cost of the project is approximately $19.5 million.
