This project consists of re-piping, shower surrounds and other work at an existing 40-unit apartment building at 401 N. G St. in Tacoma, Wash.

The building will receive plumbing improvements, new ceiling heat lamps in bathrooms and all necessary patches of walls and ceilings.

Items include demolition and removal of existing ceramic tile showers, opening walls and ceilings for routing new water piping, closing walls and ceiling openings with patching and painting, replacement of existing galvanized water piping, removal of electric baseboard heaters in bathrooms, and installation of new ceiling heat lamps.

A pre-bid meeting and site visit is scheduled for Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the project site. The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory, but attendance is highly encouraged.

The contract is expected to be awarded Nov. 19, and work is expected to begin Dec. 2.
