Bid Date/Time: Dec. 31, 2009, 10 a.m.

Yamhill County is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms to perform consulting engineering services during investigation, design and construction of the Stag Hollow Creek (Laughlin Road) Bridge replacement project. The proposal is for a geosynthetically reinforced soil abutment project.

Mike Adams with the Federal Highway Administration has indicated a willingness to design the GRS abutments. The county has acquired from ODOT a set of used, 60-foot, pre-stressed beams for use on this project. A consultant is sought to perform site survey, hydraulic site design, environmental permit documentation and applications and right-of-way acquisition services.

The new structure is proposed to be west of the existing structure, which will serve as the detour route during construction. The county intends to construct the new alignments and GRS bridge abutments with its own forces; therefore no bid document will be required on the project.
