The City of Pendleton has been exploring ways to upgrade its downtown riverfront area and capitalize on opportunities for development, public use, and social and recreation activities. The construction of Riverfront Park, on the Umatilla River, will significantly enhance the riverfront area.
Work on the project consists of rough and finish grading, removal of existing pavement, curbs and stairs, retaining walls, decorative benches, lawn, bark mulch, native plantings, evergreen and deciduous trees, stone veneer walls, lighting, utilities, irrigation, lawn, paving, tree grates, and other items.
A required pre-bid meeting will be held at 10 a.m., Feb. 24, at the project site, which is in the 400 block of S.W. Court Avenue.
Completion of the project is scheduled for Aug. 13, 2010.
