The Walnut Park Apartment complex in Northeast Portland is in the middle of an extensive exterior and interior renovation while some of the units are inhabited. The 38-unit, three-story building at 5272 N.E. Sixth Ave. is owned by REACH Community Development, and houses disabled and elderly tenants. A new concrete and wood utility building also is being built as part of the project. LMC Construction Co. is the general contractor and Carleton Hart Architecture is the designer of the renovation.
