Bid Date/Time: April 6, 2 p.m.

This project is a request for proposals for the Poling Hall renovation project on the Oregon State University campus in Corvallis.

Approximately 136 dormitory rooms on four floors will be renovated. These rooms are pairs divided by a full-height partition containing desks and wardrobe closets. The divider is to be replaced with metal studs and fire-rated gypsum board. Most casework is to be demolished. A portion of the new partition is a mechanical chase. New paint, floor coverings and 14 fire-rated doors are included. Alternates to the scope of work include roofing, brick planter wall, upgrades for corridors, lounges and main lobby. There is mechanical, plumbing and electrical work associated with the improvements.

Because this project is an RFP, rather than the winner being chosen on the basis of the lowest responsive bid, proposals will be evaluated and three finalists will be interviewed during the week of April 19. The apparent successful proposer will be selected and announced the week of April 26.
