Barbara’s Place, planned for 1881 Timber Ave. in Redmond, will provide safe, affordable housing for homeless adults with mental illnesses. Barbara’s Place is named for a retired Housing Works board member who championed for special-needs housing in the region.
This project consists of the construction of six one-bedroom units of rental housing plus common area in one building, totaling 5,439 square feet over two floors using wood-frame construction. The project includes structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, fire sprinkler and site work.
Included in the bid are toilet and bath accessories, manufactured fireplaces, kitchen appliances, washer and dryers, wire storage shelving, air conditioning and other items.
Barbara’s Place is modeled after the award-winning residence Emma’s Place in Bend.
