Oregon Tradeswomen make earthen floor

The new home for the Oregon Tradeswomen is in the Heritage Building, a renovated building at 3934 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., certified LEED gold. The building will have an earthen floor, a combination of clay subsoil, chipped straw, sand and water. The renovation work is being performed by students, volunteer journeymen, with IBEW Local 48, and OTI staff. Oregon Tradeswomen Inc. is dedicated to promoting success for women in the trades through education, leadership and mentorship.
