The three finalists for the redevelopment of Memorial Coliseum have told Mayor Sam Adams that they’d like some extra time to look at the possibility of submitting a joint request for proposals response.
According to a letter from Sam Adams to the Rose Quarter Stakeholder Advisory Committee, the teams will have until Monday, May 10 to update the mayor on their plans. The three teams include the , the , and the .
“The parties have agreed to discuss a possibility of collaborating on an idea that all of the parties would be in favor of,” said J. Isaac, a representative for the Portland Trail Blazers. “We may know in a week or two that it is not going to work, but we may also be in a position to say there is something here that’s possible. It could take some time until we all agree this is the direction to go.”
