The new home for the Larsen Pediatric Clinic in Northeast Portland will include Faswall walls made by ShelterWorks Ltd. of Philomath. The blocks in the system are made of wood waste ground into chips, mineralized to neutralize the natural sugars that cause rot, and then bonded to cement. The 2,500-square-foot clinic at 2811 N.E. Wasco St. is being built by B&G Builders Inc. from a design by FBD Architecture. Work is scheduled to be completed in late summer.
