A centennial may be the anniversary that tends to draw a crowd. But for the Multnomah Bar Association, its 104th annual meeting and dinner was a charm, with almost every seat filled for the Tuesday night event at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront.
The event, led by masters of ceremony Steve Novick and Kerry Tymchuck, offered an opportunity for the industry to recognize some of its outstanding members.
Judge Michael Markus was presented with the MBA President’s Award, in part for the leadership role he played in the development of the Oregon eCourt system.
Civil litigator Garry Kahn received the MBA Professionalism Award for his ongoing willingness to step forward as both a mentor to younger lawyers and as a pro bono attorney.
