A certified lead-based paint renovation contractor license is required to work on child-occupied facilities and on any structures built before 1978. A license is $50 and is available from the Construction Contractors Board. The license must be renewed annually, which also costs $50.
To qualify as a certified lead-based paint renovation contractor, one must:
The EPA, Oregon Home Builders Association, Portland Home Builders Association, Oregon Remodelers Association, Painting and Decorating Contractors of America and Western Regional Lead Training Center all offer RRP training courses.
