The Coquille River Lighthouse, built in 1896 in the Victorian Italianate style, was the last one to be constructed along the Oregon Coast. The lighthouse is just north of Bandon, in Bullards Beach State Park.

This project consists of restoring and replicating the wood windows in the lighthouse. Work includes selective demolition, removal of cracked or broken brick and installation of new brick masonry around the windows. Also included are: finish carpentry, joint sealants, wood window restoration, wood preparation and coating, and other work.

The lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and all work must conform to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties. The contractor must keep accurate records and documentation. Ongoing photographic and descriptive documentation is a requirement under this contract, because present and/or future historians must be able to evaluate, interpret, replicate, or restore all or portions of the lighthouse and/or changes made to it. The documentation log kept during the construction must be kept in an approved file system at the jobsite for the availability of construction personnel and the project manager.
