The work for this contract involves well pump station, distribution system, and reservoir cathodic protection work in the city of Halfway, Ore.
Well pump station work includes demolition of the existing Well No. 1 pump station and construction of a new Well No. 1 pump station building, including installation of a new well pump, pitless unit, controls, chlorination system, and associated site work. Well No. 3 pump station work includes installation of a new chlorination system, well pressure transducer, and miscellaneous repair work.
Distribution system improvements consist of installation of a water main line, installation/replacement of water service lines, and modification of existing valves and meters. A new cathodic protection system also will be installed on the existing water reservoir.
Because of the project is being paid for in part with federal funds, the contractor will be subject to all federal and state requirements relating to the use of such funds (Davis-Bacon wage rates, BOLI, EEO, etc.). This project is being funded through a Community Development Block Grant from the Oregon Business Development Department.
The time for substantial completion is 90 calendar days.
