This project consists of a request for proposals from design-build teams to construct a new readiness center outside of Dallas, Ore. The Dallas Armory, built in 1911, has become structurally unsound and is no longer safe to occupy.
The RFP is for a firm to design and construct a new readiness center to provide a 122-member training facility with administrative space, educational classrooms, an assembly area, a library, a learning center, a vault, a weapons simulator, and physical fitness areas.
Vehicle maintenance work bays and associated administrative office space will be included, and the completed project must provide adequate parking space for all military and privately-owned vehicles.
The approximate date for the notice of intent to award is Aug. 23.
