The Ontario School District is requesting proposals from qualified firms for construction management services for new and remodel construction projects. An $18.5 million bond passed in the May election will be used for projects at Ontario Middle School and Ontario High School, and upgrades to five elementary schools. This proposal is for services associated with all design, construction and remodel projects.

The general upgrades for schools include the replacement and installation of door hardware, DDC controls, fire sprinkler and alarm, electrical outlets, data raceways, windows, ADA upgrades, roof replacement, cooling for server rooms, lighting replacement, steam piping replacement, and switch gear replacement.

This RFP is for a single contract for construction management services. The construction will be contracted through several smaller contracts to encourage local businesses to submit bids.

The contract will be awarded approximately Aug. 13, and begin Aug. 16.
