Recovery Village, in Baker City, provides alcohol and drug treatment for women who live with their children in a residential setting for up to six months. The county received an $800,000 federal community development block grant to pay part of the project cost of a new building, which is estimated to be approximately $1.7 million. A federal loan, which was received recently, will provide the rest of the money needed.

Bids are requested for the construction of a 15-unit, single-story building consisting of 10,692 square feet. Utilities, landscaping, site improvements and other work will be included.

The new Recovery Village will be at 3680 Midway Drive and adjacent to the Baker House, where adults receive residential alcohol and drug treatment.
