Ingraham High School is at 1819 N. 135th St. in Seattle. The school, which opened in 1959, is named after Edward Sturgis Ingraham, the first superintendent of Seattle Public Schools.

The school district is accepting bids for improvements to the school. Work includes demolition of an existing 41-year-old, 7,200-square-foot modular classroom building and construction of a 22,000-square-foot addition to the school. The two-story addition is designed to accommodate 12 new classrooms. On-site and off-site improvements are included.

Work is estimated to cost approximately $10 million to $11 million. Work is scheduled to begin by Nov. 30 and be completed no later than Aug. 31, 2011.
