Roosevelt Hotel undergoes restoration

Restoration work is beginning on the historic Roosevelt Hotel at the corner of Southwest Park Avenue and Salmon Street in downtown Portland. Western Waterproofing Co. is in charge of the project that will restore the terra cotta and replace the cornices of the 90-year-old building. Cleaning, tuck-pointing and the replacement of 50 windows also are included in the work that will be completed by the end of the year.
