Portage Bay is an arm of Lake Union in Seattle and home to the University of Washington’s College of Ocean and Fishery Sciences.
This project consists of replacing the roof on the Portage Bay Building. Work includes removal of existing insulation, membrane roofing, roofing ballast and sheet metal flashing and trim; removal of abandoned equipment and patch roof deck; fabrication and installation of fall arrest anchors, guardrails, and ladders; installation of membrane roofing assembly, including vapor barrier, insulation, cover board, membrane, membrane flashings and other components and accessories required for complete membrane roofing assembly (includes application of liquid membrane flashing); installation of walkway cap sheet strips and pads; abatement of hazardous materials; miscellaneous structural, mechanical and electrical work; and other work.
The project shall be substantially completed within 110 calendar days, and the estimated value is $1.03 million.
