Bid Dates/Times: Demolition – Oct. 20, 2 p.m.; Renovation – Oct. 26, 1 p.m.
A swimming pool in Prosser, Wash., was built in 1955 and over time has begun to decay and suffer plumbing issues. The city years ago recognized the failing condition of the pool, and began an effort to redesign and improve it. This project consists of two bids, one for the demolition and the other for the renovation.
Demolition includes a portion of the existing concrete pool tank, concrete deck, pool mechanical equipment and piping and other work.
Renovation consists of new pools and associated construction, a new bathhouse and associated site work at the existing pool facility. Work includes concrete, masonry walls, structural steel, glu-laminated timbers, wood decking, metal roofing, hollow metal doors, interior finishes, plumbing and electrical systems.
Demolition is scheduled to be completed by Nov. 4, and renovation will be substantially completed by June 3, 2011.
