Bid Date/Time: Nov. 17, 5 p.m.
This project consists of a request for proposals from qualified construction firms interested in providing construction manager/general contractor services for the construction of the Oregon Sustainability Center.
The project is envisioned to be the first high-rise to meet the Living Building Challenge. The structure will be from seven to nine stories on a 35,000-square-foot site between Southwest Montgomery Street, Harrison Street, Fourth Avenue and Fifth Avenue. It will comprise approximately 130,000 gross square feet. The current program includes retail, classroom, conference and office space. The project is registered with the International Living Building Institute.
Beginning with responses to the RFP, the selection procedure will be used to evaluate the capabilities of interested CM/GC firms to provide services for this project. The responses to this RFP will be evaluated by the selection committee, which will include representatives from the developer as well as local construction experts. Interviews will be held on Nov. 22 with the three highest ranked firms unless the rankings clearly show that a smaller or larger class of finalists is appropriate.
The total direct project construction budget for the project is estimated at $39.3 million.
