EverPower Wind Holdings Inc. has entered into an agreement with Weyerhaeuser Co. to develop wind energy infrastructure on several tree farms. The Coyote Crest Wind Park will occupy more than 3,000 acres of Weyerhaeuser land north of the town of Doty, Wash., in a remote and unpopulated section characterized primarily by commercial forestry use.

The project involves the installation of about 47 wind turbines able to deliver approximately 120 megawatts of electrical power to an on-site substation. Also, a 115-kilovolt transmission line will be installed through Grays Harbor county to connect to the Bonneville Power Administration.

Public Utility District No. 1 of Grays Harbor County is soliciting statements of qualifications and performance data from firms interested in providing professional services for project work. One or more of the following specialty services will be needed at some point in the design of this project: civil engineering, design and engineering of fiber-optic telecommunications, electrical engineering, environmental services, land surveying, soils analysis, structural engineering and surveying.

The qualifications and performance statements will be reviewed and placed on file and then used to select one or more qualified candidates to provide a detailed proposal.

The engineering work is scheduled to commence late this year and is expected to require four months to complete.
