Renton School District is accepting bids for the renovation of Memorial Stadium, at 405 Logan Avenue N. in Renton, Wash.

This project consists of civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and landscape improvements. Work includes demolition of a reader board, the north storage shed, the north ticket booth, the north concession building, and selective demolition and renovation of the south grandstand, the south ticket booths and the north grandstand. Construction includes a new monument sign, north building and north viewing area.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting and walk-through has been scheduled for Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. Bids submitted by general contractors whose names do not appear on the list of attendees shall be considered nonresponsive.

Work on the renovation is scheduled to commence Jan. 24, 2011 and be substantially completed by April 27, 2012.
