This project in Tacoma, Wash., consists of rehabilitating an old, failing rock wall. A soldier pile retaining wall will be installed within the areaway near the basement wall of a parking garage. The areaway between the retaining wall and the old rock wall will be backfilled.

Also included in the work is the removal of the existing sidewalk structural slab, which will be replaced with an on-grade sidewalk. Also, a new curb, gutter and asphalt will be installed.

The engineer’s estimate for the project is between $100,000 and $150,000.
