The results of a study to determine the number of minority-, emerging small business- and women-owned firms contracted for Portland Development Commission-funded projects will be released this January, according to PDC Executive Director Bruce Warner.
Originally scheduled to be released in November, the report will analyze the number of construction related professional services contracts awarded to MWESB-firms and ensure the city has up to date facts on the use of minority- and women-owned businesses in contracting. The delayed release of the results is due to the upcoming holiday season, Warner said in his most recent executive director’s report.
The study was performed by BBC Consulting, which will present the results of the study to the PDC’s Workforce Diversity Advisory Committee in early January.
