Bid Date/Time: Jan. 11, 2 p.m.

This project consists of replacing the aging water-source heat pumps with energy-efficient ones on each floor of Corvallis City Hall. Associated seismic support work also will take place.

The existing boiler will be replaced with two new boilers. Improvements to the boiler room will include vibration isolation and dampening measures installed on all existing pump bases, new circulation pumps, VFDs, expansion tank and pipe connection. Also, vibration dampening elements will be incorporated into the new boiler base.

In addition, a new energy management system – including new thermostats and averaging sensors – will be installed throughout the building to better control heating and cooling. Bid alternates will include work associated with the replacement of the existing exterior cooling tower.

Controls and EMS installation will be provided under a separate contract and are not part of this bid.

The engineer’s estimate for the project is $330,000, and the notice of intent to award is scheduled to be issued Jan. 12 at 5 p.m.
