Renovation work is beginning on the Chaucer Court Apartments at 1019 S.W. 10th Ave. in downtown Portland. The 84-unit senior housing residence is in the Odd Fellows Building, a structure built in 1924 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The steel windows will be replaced and the units will be updated with new carpets, appliances and fixtures. Walsh Construction is the general contractor and Carleton Hart Architecture is the designer of the project for owner Union Manor Limited Partnership. The renovation should be completed by the end of the year.
