This project consists of a request for qualifications for general contractor construction services for two new, two-story, prototypical primary school buildings on unique sites. One will be constructed in West Linn and one will be constructed in Wilsonville, in Villebois Village. Bids will be separate, and construction will begin in late spring 2011 and finish in July 2012.

The school structures will be wood framed with areas of face brick and CMU. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification will be sought for both schools. While the sites are significantly different, the same design will be used for both schools. The projects will also include all site work and off-site public improvements. The construction budget is approximately $16.5 million for the Trillium Creek Primary School and approximately $19.3 million for the Lowrie Primary School.

After evaluation of the applicants, the prequalified bidder list will be released Feb. 8. General contractors included on the select list will be invited to participate in two formal, public lump-sum construction contract bid processes.
