This project consists of reconstruction on Richardson Highway, between mile posts 148 and 159, in the northern region of Alaska.

Work is for reconstruction of approximately 10 miles and includes widening, grade raise, replacement of drainage structures, and surfacing with hot mix asphalt. Some of the items included on the bid schedule include: signs, seeding, geotextile, construction surveying, culvert pipe, approaches and turnouts, traffic control, and other items.

The engineer’s estimate is between $30 million and $40 million, and the project is scheduled to be completed by Oct. 15, 2013.
