Bid Date/Time: March 15, 2 p.m.

This project consists of a request for proposals for replacing the Clackamas River at Springwater Road Bridge. The existing structure is reaching the end of its service life and is considered functionally obsolete because the structure’s footings are scouring, rust is compromising the steel stringers, lead paint on the steel truss is deteriorating, and several areas of the deck are spalling.

The proposed replacement is a 457-foot-long, post-tensioned, concrete girder bridge consisting of three spans south to north: 190 feet, 190 feet and 77 feet each.  The bridge will be 50 feet, 6 inches wide.

It is desired that the work be completed by Nov. 11, 2014. The estimated construction cost is approximately $9 million to $11 million.
