The city of Beaverton is accepting sealed proposals from qualified consultants to provide sustainability planning services. Work includes providing technical support, facilitation and administration for the development of a citywide sustainability plan.

The consultant will administer a high-level steering committee and program elements, including education and facilitation of the committee. If necessary, the consultant will suggest a framework for subcommittees, and compile a list of all present sustainability activities within all city departments. The proposer will be required to provide technical support for development of sustainability indicators to measure the baseline and progress of project information and support the development of goals, targets, methods of measurement, and an initial list of relevant sustainability projects. The consultant will also be responsible for providing technical assistance in developing a tracking system, providing gap analysis, administering the development of draft text for the sustainability plan, and suggesting how to institutionalize sustainability throughout the organization.

The city expects the proposer selected to start work as soon as the contract is signed and finish on or before Oct. 31.
