A request for construction manager/general contractor services has been issued for the expansion and renovation of Toledo Elementary School, in Toledo.

This project involves the replacement of 11 portable classroom units that were installed as temporary facilities when the school was constructed in 1987. New facilities to be constructed include a cafeteria, an administrative office area and 10 classrooms – a total of approximately 27,000 square feet of new construction. The project also includes upgrades of mechanical and electrical systems as well as parking lot modifications. The preliminary project construction budget is $4.5 million.

Notice of intent to award is scheduled for June 27, and the Lincoln County School District board will award the project on July 6. Construction is scheduled to commence in August and be complete and ready for occupancy by Aug. 15, 2012.
