Whether you’re curious about solar panels, low-flow plumbing, or just want to peek inside the homes of other Portlanders, tomorrow is your chance.
Tomorrow is Portland’s 10th annual 鈥溾 home tour, sponsored by the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, and 22 homeowners will be opening up their doors to the public.
The tour features green remodels and new homes and in many cases, the contractors who did the work will be on-site to answer questions and explain their work. A lot of the homeowners did parts of the work themselves, so it might inspire you!
The tour is self-guided, so you can just stick to your neighborhood if you don’t feel like bopping around to all 22.
Vendors and contractors will also be gathered at Green Depot on SE Taylor tomorrow for the 鈥淚nfo Fair,鈥 a free prelude to the tour where you can buy your tickets for the tour or hang out for demonstrations, food, drink and music.
Tour date: Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011
Tour time: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Info Fair hours: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.聽at Green Depot at 819 S.E. Taylor St. from 10 a.m. 鈥 2 p.m.
